Data collection
PaperKeep Local Scan does not collect personal data. There are no accounts and no login. The page images you import, the text read from them, and your documents and folders are stored only on your device.
Data storage
- Page images are saved as files in the app's storage on your device; document details and recognized text are saved in the app's local storage on your device.
- No cloud sync and no backend server.
- No third-party analytics, advertising or tracking.
Third-party services
- Subscriptions are purchased and processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The app does not use any other billing or subscription service.
- Text recognition runs on your device. Read-aloud uses your device's built-in text-to-speech.

Permissions
- The app does not request camera, photo library, microphone, location or contacts permission. You choose pages yourself with the system photo picker or file picker, and the app receives only the images you pick.

Sharing
Data leaves your device only when you choose to share it, for example when you share a PDF, a page image, a document's text, or a data export through your device's share sheet. You choose where it goes.
Your choices
- Export your library as a file from Settings.
- Delete all data from Settings. Deleting the app also removes its data from your device.
